A great big thank you to everyone who came over to play for a bit! Especially you guys who drove out from Dallas with kids in tow! It was so great to see all of you. And thanks to everyone (near and far) for so many fun new gifts. It seems there wasn't anything Fender didn't like! He played with everything all day long (never took a nap!!!!) and woke up and started again this morning. We've read some of our great new books, saved animals with Diego, colored in his new coloring books, tossed the football around, scattered Mr. Potato Head everywhere, and added some "play" cheerios to breakfast this morning after feeding Elmo some "play" corn on the cob, pickles, and soda last night. He's as happy as a little birthday boy could be.
Momma baked the cake, Aunt LaLa perfected the icing.
Finn, Mason, and Fender.
Fender, Jocie, Finn, Mason, Erin (Finn's mom), Tamir and Magel (Mason's parents in back)
Mason, Jocie (on slide), Sean (in middle), Nica front right, Finn (back left), and Fender was hiding under all the balloons.
Fender and I check out the birthday cake. Great Aunt Virginia, Aunt LaLa, Nica and Sean look on.
Birthday boy has some cake and opens presents.
The party is over. Granmama headed back to Amarillo and LaLa back to Denton and all their dogs too, so the house seems very quiet. It is a lovely lazy day to watch some football! Go Cowboys!
Also...a quick FYI: I go back to eye doctor Wednesday, go skydiving on Thursday, and Friday is Drew's birthday. My birthday was Tuesday and skydiving is my gift from Drewry...he's coming to watch and says there is no way in the world he'd ever willingly jump out of a plane. But I'm psyched!
